Keighley and Craven members enjoy a beer in the Merchants, Lancaster during a tour round pubs participating in the Lancaster and District Winter Ales FestivalWhy should I join?

If you enjoy real ale and cider/perry and enjoy visiting pubs, why not join CAMRA and help us protect and promote them? Annual membership costs less than the equivalent of one pint of real ale a month. As a CAMRA member you will receive a monthly newsletter, a quarterly magazine, discounted entry to CAMRA beer festivals and many more benefits. Best of all, you can join in the activities, organised by your local branch. These include: going on trips and socials (the photo shows members in the Merchants, Lancaster on a Winter Ales trip, January 2014), helping survey pubs, volunteering to work at CAMRA beer festivals, helping decide which pubs win awards and go in the CAMRA‘s Good Beer Guide and much, much more. There are plenty of ways to join......

How do I join?

The easiest way to join, is via the “Join Us” pages of the CAMRA national site. Have your details and credit/debit card ready...

Alternatively come along to one of regular local meetings or social events, advertised on this web-site.

Membership stall, Keighley Beer Festival 2014CAMRA beer festivals are another great place to sign up. Nearly all CAMRA beer festivals will have a membership stall (Anne and Tony staffing the membership stall at Keighley Beer Festival 2014 - photo right), where you can chat to current members about the campaign and many festivals offer a small incentive if you sign up on the day. Skipton Beer Festival is normally held in Spring, with dates announced around Christmas.

If the above all sound too intimidating, membership leaflets are available in some of our local pubs, and our quarterly newsletter, Alesman, always contains a membership form (as do all local CAMRA newsletters). Pick up a leaflet or newsletter, fill out the form, write a cheque, pop the lot into an envelope and send it off to CAMRA Head Office (address on the form).

What then?

You will receive a membership card and bundles of information. If you live in Keighley and Craven area, we‘d love to see you at our events. If you want to get more involved more, check the Volunteering page to see how you can help further...
