Boltmakers Arms, Keighley
The Boltmakers Arms, East Parade, Keighley was voted Pub of the Season for Summer 2001 at the Branch's April meeting. The pub, a Taylors tied-house and reputed to be Keighley's smallest pub, is run by tenants Ray and Eileen Green, who took over in spring 2000. Under its former long-standing licensees, Eric and Rose French, the Boltmakers always had a reputation for its excellently kept beers - Golden Best, Best Bitter and Landlord. Ray and Eileen have ensured that this reputation remains true - if you want to drink Landlord at its best, the Boltmakers Arms is the pub to head for. Also on offer is an interesting selection of malt whiskies, a friendly atmosphere and some good conversation. The pub attracts a wide range of clientele and being 'on the circuit', can get busy at weekends. Sport, especially football, is popular on the television. The Boltmakers is open all day everyday from 11.30 a.m. (12 on Sunday) The presentation will be made on Tuesday 10th July (date to be confirmed) at about 8.30 p.m.
