Keighley and Craven CAMRA Pub Of The Year

Keighley and Craven CAMRA Pub of the Year is awarded each spring. The pub is chosen by our members via two rounds of surveying, starting from an original short-list of around twenty-five pubs. The surveyors look at a number of criteria including Beer Quality, Atmosphere, Style, Decor, Community Focus, Value for Money and Sympathy with CAMRA‘s aims. As many members as possible are encouraged to take part.

In 2021 and 2022 our winner was The Brown Cow, Keighley, West Yorkshire.

Our 2018 Pub of the Year was the Falcon Inn in Arncliffe, Littondale, Yorkshire Dales. The presentation took place on Tuesday 8th April 2018. The link is to the Pub of the Season article from Winter 2016/7, which says it all....

In 2017, Pub of the Year was awarded to Francis and Lisa Huggins and their team at the Kings Arms, Silsden, West Yorkshire. The Kings Arms shared the title in 2014, so it was good that in 2017 they won it outright.

In 2016, Pub of the Year was awarded to Russell and Rosie East at the Talbot Arms in Settle. Russell and Rosie have now passed on the baton to new licensees Tony and Janette, who took over in November 2016 and have continued to maintain high standards

The clear winner in 2015 was the Brown Cow, Keighley, which was joint winner in 2014.

In 2014, we had joint winners, which were the Kings Arms, Silsden and the Brown Cow, Keighley. The presentations were made to Francis and Lisa and to Barry and Carol on Saturday May 17th 2014.

The Boltmakers Arms, Keighley won for two years on the trot in 2012 and 2013. The Boltmakers has since changed hands.

Earlier winners were: 2011 - The Kings Arms, Silsden; 2010 - The Maypole, Long Preston (since changed hands); 2009 - the Old White Bear, Cross Hills; 2008 - the Brown Cow, Keighley.
