Keighley and Craven CAMRA Pub Of The Season

Our current Pub of the Season (Summer 2018) is the Talbot Arms, Settle. The presentation took place on Saturday 28th July. Our next Pub of the Season (Winter 2018/19) will be selected at the November 2018 meeting.

Pubs of the Season are selected by popular vote at branch meetings. Two awards are made per year and pubs can be nominated by any CAMRA member belonging to the Keighley and Craven branch: submit your nomination in writing to the branch chair along with a short description of what makes the pub special and why you think it should be our next Pub of the Season. Nominations and voting are a month apart to ensure as many prospective voters as possible can visit all the pubs nominated.

The Pub of the Season award has been running continuously since 1985, and is nearly as old as the Branch itself! In 2014, we decided to switch from 4 awards a year to 2, starting with the 2014 Summer award. The full list is given below in reverse order, along with a link to the original report for each award, if we still have it. Note that many pubs have changed hands (ownership and/or management) since the awards were presented. In the list below, change of hands is indicated for all awards since 2009. Prior to 2010, all the pubs of the season have since changed hands with the exception of the Brown Cow (Keighley), the Kings Arms (Silsden), the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway Buffet Car, the Cricketers Arms (Keighley) and the Friendly (Stanbury).
